City man faces gun charge
YOUNGSTOWN -- Police charged a Lexington Avenue man with aggravated menacing and unlawful possession of dangerous ordnance after they reportedly saw him drop a rifle behind a house in the 900 block of Indianola Avenue.
A woman in the 900 block of Indianola told police around 9:30 a.m. that her brother, Karl Wright, 28, of Lexington Avenue had fought with her 16-year-old son about a gun the teenager was supposed to get for him, and Wright said he was going to shoot him.
Police then responded around noon to a report of a man walking along West Indianola carrying a rifle. When police saw Wright, he ran and dropped the rifle at the rear of the house, police said. The rifle was loaded with 25 rounds of ammunition in the magazine, police said.
