Chase lands two teens in jail

HILLSVILLE, Pa. -- Two Youngstown teens were arrested after a two-state, high-speed car chase.
Lamar A. Hough, 18, of Truesdale Avenue, and a 17-year-old male, whose name authorities would not release, were arrested at 1:30 a.m. Thursday in a stolen 2006 Hummer taken from a Campbell home.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the chase began in Poland Township. Police said there was a second car, a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier, also stolen from Campbell, which accompanied the Hummer. Police said several departments chased the two vehicles on Pa. Routes 551 and 208.
Police were able to stop the Hummer and arrest the two inside, but the Cavalier continued to Union Township where it wrecked and the driver ran off.
Hough is charged with receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, recklessly endangering and fleeing police. He is being held in the Lawrence County Jail on $50,000 bond.
The 17-year-old is charged with receiving stolen property through a juvenile petition and has been turned over to Lawrence County Juvenile Probation for detention.
