STRUTHERS -- Lou Coppola stayed unbeaten after tossing a complete game with seven strikeouts, helping league-leading R & amp;J Trucking topple Mink Financial 4-1 in a Class B league game on Wednesday at Cene Park.
C.J. Morris had two hits and Dave Patrick drove home two runs for R & amp;J (7-1), while Coppola improved to 2-0.
Lonnie McQueen (0-2) allowed just one earned run in the complete game. He had two strikeouts. Mike Barone had two hits for Mink (4-4).
Rondinelli Tuxedo 5,Livi Steel 4
Rondinelli won for the six time in eight starts with the win over Livi Steel (5-3). Vince Riola (2-0) tossed a five-hitter, allowing one earned run and striking out five for Rondinelli (5-3). Corey Collins added two hits.
Shane Liska (2-1) struck out seven and walked six in a losing effort. Tony Pozega had a single and a double for Livi.
Astro Falcons 7, Youngstown Express 1
Kyle Smith had three hits, including a triple, and drove in two runs for the Astro Falcons (6-2).
Andy Onufrak and Jared Bartholomew each added a double and a single. Matt Weir (2-0) had seven strikeouts over the first five innings.
Josh Davkovich had a single and a double for the Express (1-7).
Wharmby Sports 11, Dave Sugar Excavating 1
Wharmby (6-2) pounded out 14 hits in their sixth win in eight outings.
Todd Finn had three hits and scored three times, while John Thomas, Cory Johnson, Ty Womer, and winning pitcher John Houser had two hits each for Wharmby. Houser had six strikeouts while Johnson drove home three runs and Womer four.
Dane Dobson had a triple for Dave Sugar (3-5).
