ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Mike Napoli and Kendry Morales homered and rookie Jered Weaver remained unbeaten in three major league starts. Weaver (3-0) allowed two runs and four hits in six innings, including solo home runs to Carl Crawford and Julio Lugo. The 23-year-old struck out four and walked none. Napoli hit a three-run homer off Seth McClung (2-8) in the fourth inning and Morales added a solo drive for a 5-1 lead in the sixth. Orlando Cabrera and Garret Anderson also drove in runs for the Angels.
Blue Jays 5, Orioles 3
BALTIMORE -- Casey Janssen allowed one run in six innings to earn his fourth straight win, and Vernon Wells had four hits. Toronto scored two runs off Kris Benson (6-5) with the aid of wild pitches, then added two unearned runs in the seventh against Todd Williams before Wells doubled in a ninth-inning run. Janssen (5-3) gave up six hits, walked none and struck out five.
White Sox 4, Tigers 3
CHICAGO -- Alex Cintron hit a tie-breaking RBI single in the seventh inning to lift the White Sox. Jose Contreras (6-0) won his 14th straight regular-season decision dating to last season and picked up his first victory since coming off the disabled list on May 21. He pitched seven innings, giving up three runs -- two earned -- and seven hits.
Rangers 4, Royals 2
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Gary Matthews' two-run double capped a four-run ninth inning and lifted Texas over Kansas City. Rookie Bobby Keppel, looking for his first major league win, carried a six-hit shutout into the ninth for Kansas City.

Marlins 8, Giants 1
SAN FRANCISCO -- Dontrelle Willis pitched a six-hitter and Dan Uggla homered twice for Florida. Willis (3-6), back home in the Bay Area, struck out three and walked three to win his second straight start following a six-game losing streak. Willis recorded his 13th career complete game and second this year after throwing a six-hitter May 21 at Tampa Bay. Uggla, a rookie, hit a three-run homer in the fifth and a two-run drive in the ninth off Tim Worrell for his first career multihomer game and the third by the Marlins in 2006. Joe Borchard added a two-run shot for Florida, which avoided a three-game sweep.

HOUSTON -- Chris Sampson tossed seven innings of three-hit ball in his first major league start, leading the Astros to the win. Sampson (1-0) set down the first 11 batters he faced, 10 on groundouts. He walked Michael Barrett with two outs in the fourth, but got Todd Walker to fly out. Brad Ausmus led off the third with his first homer of the season and Brad Lidge pitched a perfect ninth for his 15th save. Sean Marshall (3-4) got the loss, allowing four hits and one run in seven innings.
Phillies 7, Diamondbacks 3
PHOENIX -- Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins and Sal Fasano homered and the Phillies completed a three-game sweep. Fasano tied a career high with four hits and fell a triple shy of a cycle. He doubled in the second inning, singled in the fourth, homered in the sixth and singled in the eighth as the Phillies won their fourth straight. Ryan Madson (6-3) went a season-long 7 2/3 innings for his third victory in four starts. He allowed three runs and eight hits. NL West-leading Arizona has lost three straight.
Nationals 5, Braves 2
ATLANTA -- Marlon Anderson hit a two-run homer and Ramon Ortiz won his fifth straight start. Atlanta, which snapped a five-game losing streak Tuesday night, completed a disappointing 2-8 homestand. The Nationals completed a 6-3 road trip with six wins in their last seven games. Ortiz (5-4) gave up six hits and two runs in 6 2/3 innings. He walked one and had five strikeouts. Chad Cordero pitched the ninth for his 11th save. Atlanta's John Smoltz (4-4), pitching on only three days' rest, gave up six hits and three runs in seven innings. He had eight strikeouts and one walk.
Reds 7, Cardinals 4
ST. LOUIS -- Rich Aurilia matched career highs with four hits and five RBIs, pulling the Reds into a tie with the Cardinals for first place in the NL Central. Aurilia hit a three-run homer off Tyler Johnson in the sixth that made it 7-0. Scott Hatteberg had two hits, two walks and two RBIs to help the Reds stretch their winning streak to a season-best seven games. They completed a three-game sweep with Ken Griffey Jr. (left quad) and Edwin Encarnacion (left ankle) out with minor injuries. They also swept a three-game series in Houston during a 7-2 road trip. Aaron Harang (7-4) became the first visiting pitcher to win twice at new Busch Stadium, dominating for five innings before tiring. Sidney Ponson (4-1) lost for the first time in nine starts with the Cardinals, who signed him as a free agent in the offseason.
Padres 6, Brewers 5
MILWAUKEE -- Adrian Gonzalez and Vinny Castilla hit back-to-back homers in the eighth inning to lift San Diego over the Brewers. Milwaukee scored three times in the seventh to take a 5-4 lead but Gonzalez led off the next inning with his seventh homer. Gonzalez's drive came on an 0-2 pitch from Matt Wise (3-3) and extended his career-high hitting streak to 15 games. Castilla followed with a homer to left, his second of the season and first since April 12. Trevor Hoffman pitched the ninth for his 13th save in 13 opportunities. Scott Cassidy (4-2) got one out for the victory.
