Youngstown man is charged with assault

YOUNGSTOWN -- A city man is in Mahoning County Jail charged with assault after being accused of attacking another man Tuesday evening.
According to police reports, witnesses said Robert Freemon, 41, of Covington Street, approached another man on Covington just after 5 p.m. and demanded money. Reports said Freemon attacked the man after the man told him he had no money.
Police found Freemon in the basement of the Covington Street address several hours later and he was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault.
