Tom Popadak fans 18 for Wharmby
STRUTHERS -- Tom Popadak tossed a one-hitter and had a league-high eighteen strikeouts as Wharmby Sports (4-2) defeated the Youngstown Express 2-0 in the Class B League Monday.
Popadak also added a RBI double, driving in Mark Babyak who had singled home the first run of the game.
Jeff Olenych was the tough-luck loser. He allowed just four hits and had ten strikeouts in the game. Matt Carhart had a lead off single in the bottom of the first inning for the only hit for the Express (1-5).
Mink 11, Sugar Excavating 6
Mark Novotny had a triple and a double while Brett Grabman, Robbie Porter and Mike Barone added two hits each for the Mink (4-2).
Anthony Ragozine went five innings for his second win on the season. Jeff Muscik suffered the loss but had three hits for Dave Sugar.
R & amp; J Trucking 9,Newell Sporting Goods 6
R & amp; J Trucking improved to 5-1 with the victory over winless Newell (0-6).
Ed Rohan and Mark Carrocce had two hits each as did Jim Pasquine who also came on in the seventh and got two outs for the save in relief of Greg Brown.
Brown (2-0) had four strikeouts. Jim Neil, Brian Bianco, Dave Preston and Jake Yatsko had two hits each for Newell.

Corey Collins tossed a no-hitter with nine strikeouts as he won his second game on the season for Rondinelli (4-2).
Phil Double and Cory Nesbitt had three hits each to pace the twenty hit attack for the winners while Chuck Olesky, Andy Dobson, Tony Brunetti and Matt Dado had two hits each.
Tyler Micsky tossed two scoreless innings with five strikeouts for Roth (1-5).
