Hoffman-Shires engagement told, wedding in July

BROOKFIELD -- James III and Becky Hoffman, 1060 N. Albright-McKay Road, are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Greta E. Hoffman, 3317 Nash Ave., Cincinnati, and Christopher R. Shires, of the same address.
The future groom is a son of Dr. Robert A. Shires, 10860 Tamoron Lane, Boca Raton, Fla.
The couple have chosen July 29 for their 3:30 p.m. wedding at Brookfield United Methodist Church. They will issue invitations for the ceremony and also for an early evening reception at The Corinthian in Sharon, Pa.
Miss Hoffman graduated from Miami University in Oxford with a bachelor's degree in education. She is a seventh-grade language arts teacher with Winton Woods School District in Cincinnati.
Mr. Shires is an interpretive services manager with the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati. He graduated from Marshall University with a bachelor's degree in history and from the University of Missouri in St. Louis with a master's degree in history.
