WNBA ROUNDUP Sunday's games

Comets 85, Lynx 62
HOUSTON -- Michelle Snow scored a career-high 24 points to lead Houston to its fifth straight victory. Snow, who added nine rebounds, just missed her first double-double of the season as the Comets (5-1) won their third straight at home to remain on top of the Western Conference standings. Tina Thompson added 16 points and Dawn Staley had 13 for the Comets, who did not get any points from their reserves until Sancho Lyttle hit a free throw with 6:36 left. Rookie sensation Seimone Augustus had 20 points for the Lynx (2-4), who saw their modest two-game winning streak come to an end. Kristen Mann added 10 points for Minnesota and was the only other Lynx player to score in double digits. Houston's Sheryl Swoopes left the game with 6:36 left because of a back injury. She finished with 13 points.

CHICAGO -- Katie Smith scored 21 points and Deanna Nolan added 13 to help Detroit rebound from its worst game of the season. One night after losing 92-68 at Washington, the Shock responded to send the Sky (1-5) to their fourth home loss and fifth straight loss overall. Kedra Holland-Corn scored all 10 of her points in the fourth quarter as Detroit pulled away after entering the final period up 57-50. Amanda Lassiter led Chicago with 20 points.
