Lordstown High School's senior physics students put some distance between themselves and a catapult for launching watermelon. During an exhibition at the school last week, the students and seventh- and eighth-grade history pupils built three catapults to heave one-pound flour bags at a fake castle wall made of refrigerator boxes.
