Tesseans renew marriage vows on 50th anniversary



XPOLAND -- In celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Tessean, 549 E. Calla Road, renewed their marriage vows during a service that took place May 28 at St. Charles Church, where they are members.
Afterward a dinner party was held in their honor at Caf & eacute; Capri in Boardman by their family, Louise and Jeff Maher of Wadsworth, David Tessean of Boardman, Charlene Tessean of Poland, Linda and Donnie McDonough of Struthers, and Shawn and Janine Tessean of Parma Heights. Also participating were the couple's four grandchildren.
St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Campbell was the setting May 26, 1956, when Mr. Tessean and the former Lillian Marinak were united in marriage.
Mr. Tessean served with the U.S. Army Field Artillery from 1953 to 1955. He was a member of Carpenters Local 171 and was employed as a carpenter with Goal Inc. in Canfield prior to retiring in 1994. His wife is a homemaker.
