FIFTY YEARS AGO: This panoramic view of South High School Field House shows more than 4,500 students, teachers and parents at the fifth annual year-end Youngstown Parochial School Music Festival in 1956. The shot was pieced together from four prints by Vindicator photographer Lloyd Jones. This concert involved 13 schools from south of the Mahoning River; one involving students from 15 parochial schools north of the river was held the next evening.
