Tour of five area gardens, lunch and raffles on agenda

Each garden on the tour has a distinguishing feature.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Garden Forum of the Greater Youngstown Area will sponsor a garden tour to be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 24, rain or shine.
The tour will feature five area gardens that include an example of cottage-style gardening; garden rooms filled with copper works of art; shade gardening with an oak tree grove; unusual trees, stoneworks and water features; and the "Garden Guru" of WFMJ-TV 21 featuring 15 fountains and 600 rose bushes.
Admission includes a tour guide book, lunch, five tickets for raffles to be held at each location, and a special coupon for a discount on purchases at a local greenhouse.

On tour day, tickets and tour guides will be available for $18 at Smith Corners United Methodist Church, corner of state Route 46 and Kirk Road, Austintown.
