Oscar-winner Weisz,fianc & eacute; have baby boy
LOS ANGELES -- It's a boy for Oscar-winning actress Rachel Weisz and her fianc & eacute;, director Darren Aronofsky.
The couple had their first child Wednesday in New York, according to Weisz spokeswoman Kelly Bush. No other details were made available.
Weisz, 35, won an Oscar in March for her portrayal of a political activist in "The Constant Gardener." Later this year, she can be seen in "The Fountain," which Aronofsky directed.
Aronofsky wrote and directed 2000's "Requiem for a Dream."
Hilton-Richie split: Don'texpect answers on 'Life'
LOS ANGELES -- Those hoping that the new season of "The Simple Life" will supply the answer to what's really behind the famous Paris Hilton-Nicole Richie feud are going to be disappointed -- but the former friends do toss a few dishy darts at one another.
The reality-style series, which shows how inept the two celebutantes can be in everyday situations, returns Sunday, 10 p.m. EDT on E!
Hilton characterizes the two as "complete opposites."
"I'm the nice one, she's the evil one," the baby-voiced blonde says. "Some people change when they think they're a star or something and some people stay the same. I've always been the same and she's definitely not."
Woodruff to miss ceremony
BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. -- ABC news anchor Bob Woodruff, who was injured while reporting on the war in Iraq earlier this year, won't attend an upcoming alumni awards ceremony in his home state of Michigan.
Woodruff, 44, will send his brother, Dave Woodruff, to accept a 2006 Cranbrook Schools Distinguished Alumni Award on June 10.
The newsman is recovering at his New York home after suffering serious head injuries and broken bones Jan. 29 in a roadside bombing.
