Members receive recognition at annual awards-night dinner
SALEM -- An annual awards night meeting and dinner were held by the 24th Masonic District of the Grand Lodge of Ohio May 20 at Perry Lodge 185.
During the evening, Allen G. Bohr, district deputy grand master, presented Best of the Best awards to two officers of Argus Lodge 545, Christopher Brocious, Senior Deacon 2006, and Denny Furman, Junior Deacon 2006.
Also singled out for recognition was Gregory B. Smith Sr., past master of Argus and past district deputy, who received a Special Distinction Award for support to the district, and Robert Edwards, past master of Argus, who was the recipient of a Traveling Award for attending all the district lodge inspections during the year. Argus Lodge 545 received an award for having representatives present at all the district lodge inspections during the year.
The 24th district is composed of 26 lodges in four Ohio counties. There are approximately 6,500 members in the lodges.
