HBA helps make-a-wish with auction at parade

The foundation also will benefit from a fund-raising raffle.
POLAND -- The Home Builders/Remodelers Association of Mahoning Valley is supporting the local Make-A-Wish Foundation by hosting a special live auction June 15 during the opening preview night of the HBA's Parade of Homes, presented by Home Savings and Loan and 84 Lumber Co.
The event will take place at Catarina Place here from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Tickets are available for $15. The auction begins at 7 p.m., with Tom Paranzino of Paranzino Auctioneers serving as the auctioneer.
To further the partnership, every home in the parade will have one room that is dedicated to a child's granted wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Sheely's Furniture and Appliance, England Furniture, Interiors by Elizabeth and Coventry Lighting have donated rooms of furniture and accessories to be raffled off during the Parade of Homes, which is from June 17 through June 25. All proceeds from the auction and raffle will go to the local Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The foundation's mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
Who will participate
The builder companies that will be participating in the only Parade of Homes this year are PMD Builders, Mill Creek Homes, Fonderlin Development, Specialty Construction of Mahoning Valley, Ross Builders, Knez Homes by Bobby Sudon, Ricottilli Construction and Sudon Bros. Inc.
Other event sponsors include Armstrong, The Green Team and The Vindicator. To arrive at Catarina Place, take state Route 170 (from the center of Poland), turn right on Spitler Road then to Morningside Drive, which will lead straight back to Catarina Place.
