Flower show awards presented by St. Michael Garden Guild

YOUNGSTOWN -- "Show Stoppers" was the theme of an annual flower show held by St. Michael Garden Guild on May 24 at the parish center, where a dinner was also served.
After judging by Sheila Bowman, awards were presented to winners in various categories.
Best in Show winners were Liz Rehlinger for arrangement and Ann Sims for horticulture.
Blue ribbons in the arrangement division went to Rehlinger, Sims, Marjorie Yerman, Pat Hoyle, Mary Louise Dorcik, Mary Ann Silvestri, Helen Mocker, Ruth Molvin and Cookie Beeman.
In the horticulture category, blue ribbon winners were Geri Tomko, Linda Dercoli, Beeman, Mag Mitchell, Yerman, Hoyle, Rehlinger, Margi Vernal and Sims.
Yerman presided at the event, and Joanne Jones served as clerk. Rehlinger and Molvin assisted with arrangements and Hoyle with horticulture.
The show committee was Yerman, Carol Cartwright, Hoyle, Doe Gallagher, Molvin, Beeman, Rehlinger and Lucille Zyznar.
