Festival turns out to be larger than life
Omar Diop, a vendor from Senegal, waits for customers at the 22nd annual Trumbull County African-American Achiever's Association Festival in downtown Warren. The giraffes, carved from wood, were imported from Senegal. The festival began Friday and runs through Sunday in Courthouse Square park. It continues today and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. A parade is scheduled at noon today, and Ronny Love and the Drifters perform tonight at the festival. Admission is free.
