Youngstown man jailed in drug trafficking

GIRARD -- A 43-year-old Youngstown man is in Trumbull County Jail waiting to appear in Girard Municipal Court on drug charges.
Obie Adkins III of Ohio Avenue, known as "O," is charged with felony trafficking in drugs and misdemeanor possession of criminal tools and drug paraphernalia.
According to police reports, officers working on information provided through tips pulled over the Chevrolet Blazer with oversized custom wheels driven by Adkins on Wednesday afternoon on South State Street.
Reports say officers found $498 in Adkins' pockets along with four cell phones and 13 individually wrapped packs of suspected crack cocaine.
Adkins' license was also found to be suspended and expired.
