Youngstown Express gets first victory



STRUTHERS -- Dan Gallagher tripled in the tying run and scored the game winner on an error as Youngstown Express won for the first time, 5-4, over Rondinelli Wednesday in a Class B League game at Cene Park.
Jeff Olenych picked up the win in relief for the Express (1-3).
Frank Rosile had a triple and a single for Rondinelli (2-2). Aaron Cosma went the first six-plus innings, allowing just one earned run with 10 strikeouts.
Livi Steel 7, Dave Sugar 0
Shane Liska tossed a three-hit shutout with nine strikeouts for Livi Steel (3-1). Zach Byler had three hits to pace the 13-hit Livi attack, while Manoli Pahoulis and Willie Sekula had a pair of singles each, and Chester Kirkwood a double and a single.
Ed Gonda allowed just one unearned run in four innings of relief with four strikeouts for Dave Sugar.

Mink Financial scored seven times in the top of the first inning.
Corey Vukovic went the first six innings for his second win. He allowed two hits, one earned run and struck out 12. Vukovic has 27 strikeouts in 11 innings.
Frank Larubbio, Lonnie McQueen, Mark Novotny, and T.J. Stoian had two hits each for Mink (3-1).
Adam Abusaleh had a single and a double for Newell (0-4). Brian Bianco (0-2) went the distance. He had five strikeouts.
Wharmby Sports 8, Roth Bros. 1
Wharmby scored six runs in the bottom of the first to win for the third time in four starts.
Cory Johnson went the first six innings for the win, allowing one run on four hits with eight strikeouts.
Brian Szabo, Tom Popadak, and John Thomas had two hits each for Wharmby. Kyle Pitts went the first five innings for the loss for Roth (1-3). He had five strikeouts.
