Police seek 4 men involved in break-in
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Pennsylvania State Police are looking for four men involved in a home invasion at Slippery Rock Township home.
Police said the victims, a 20-year-old Pittsburgh man and a 19-year-old New Castle woman, did not know the men who forced themselves into a home on Old U.S. Route 422 at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.
The victims were inside an upstairs bedroom. One of the men had a pistol, police said. The men demanded money and when the male victim refused, he was beat on the head with the butt of the firearm, police said. The men then took money, a cellular telephone and a purse belonging to the victims.
Police said the robbers were three white men and one black man, all in their 20s. They were driving an older Jeep Cherokee, police said. The male victim was treated at Jameson Hospital. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at (724) 598-2211.
