MLB ROUNDUP | Sunday's other games

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Yankees 4, Devil Rays 2
NEW YORK -- Johnny Damon hit a pair of home runs and Mike Mussina won his fifth straight decision. Mussina (13-3) allowed two runs and five hits in seven innings. He struck out eight, walked two and has not lost since June 15 against Cleveland. Kyle Farnsworth pitched a scoreless eighth and Mariano Rivera worked the ninth for his 26th save in 28 chances as the Yankees bounced back after Tampa Bay's 19-6 win Saturday.
Twins 6, Tigers 4
MINNEAPOLIS -- Michael Cuddyer hit a two-run triple in Minnesota's six-run eighth inning. Jeremy Bonderman's balk let the tying run score in the eighth and Luis Castillo drove in the go-ahead run with a groundout. Bonderman (11-5) was breezing past Twins ace Johan Santana, who couldn't find the strike zone and lasted only 51/3 innings in one of his shakiest outings of the season, until the eighth -- when Minnesota turned a bunch of choppers and two errors into a six-run inning.
Orioles 8, White Sox 7
BALTIMORE -- Javy Lopez's bases-loaded single in the ninth inning off Bobby Jenks capped a two-run comeback for the Orioles. Baltimore trailed 7-6 before rallying to avoid a three-game sweep. Jeff Conine also singled in a run in the ninth for the Orioles.
Athletics 6, Blue Jays 5
OAKLAND, Calif. -- Milton Bradley hit a three-run shot for his first career walkoff home run to lift the Athletics to the win after Toronto rallied in the top of the ninth. Bradley sent a 2-1 pitch from closer B.J. Ryan (1-1) over the center-field wall for his sixth homer to give him four RBIs.
Angels 10, Red Sox 4
BOSTON -- Orlando Cabrera, Vladimir Guerrero and Juan Rivera hit third-inning homers to send Curt Schilling to his first loss at Fenway Park this year, and John Lackey pitched six solid innings for the Angels. Lackey (10-6) allowed three earned runs, nine hits and two walks, striking out six to win for the fifth time in six starts this month.
Rangers 15, Royals 2
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Michael Young had four hits and a home run, Mark DeRosa added four hits and four RBIs, and the Rangers snapped a season-worst six-game losing streak and stay out of last place in the AL West.
NATIONAL LEAGUE
Mets 10, Braves 6
ATLANTA -- Carlos Beltran hit two homers, including his third grand slam in July, and the New York Mets completed their first sweep of at least three games in Atlanta in 21 years. The Mets swept a four-game set in Atlanta from July 4-7, 1985. Beltran's slam off Chuck James (4-2) in the second inning was the Mets' major league record-tying sixth of the month. The Montreal Expos hit six grand slams in April 1996 and Cleveland matched the record in May 1999. He is the ninth player to hit three slams in a month and the first since Milwaukee's Devon White in May 2001. Darren Oliver (4-0) pitched a scoreless fifth inning while relieving Glavine. Billy Wagner recorded the final four outs for his 22nd save in 26 chances.
Diamondbacks 7, Astros 6
HOUSTON -- Conor Jackson hit a go-ahead homer off Brad Lidge in the ninth inning and Arizona rallied after Roger Clemens left the game, beating the Astros. Clemens had a season-high nine strikeouts in seven sharp innings and left with a 5-1 lead. But Jeff DaVanon hit an RBI single and Eric Byrnes added a three-run homer off Chad Qualls in the eighth to tie it.
Brewers 4, Reds 3
MILWAUKEE -- Ben Sheets allowed two runs in eight-plus innings and newcomer Kevin Mench drove in four runs to lead the Brewers over Cincinnati. Utley extended the longest hitting streak in the major leagues this season with a sixth-inning RBI single that chased Marlins starter Brian Moehler (5-8). Utley, who tied the second longest streak in team history, scored on Howard's two-run homer off Renyel Pinto. Ryan Madson (9-7) allowed two runs, struck out six and walked none in six innings to win the second game. Aaron Fultz (2-0) allowed two runs in 22/3 innings of relief to win the first game.
