Miss Garchar, Dr. Guelich set wedding date

XCANFIELD -- Plans for the Sept. 9 wedding of Catherine C. Garchar and Dr. David R. Guelich are being announced by the parents of the bride-elect, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Progar of Canfield.
The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Richard Garchar. Parents of the future groom are Janet Smith of California and the late Dr. Robert Guelich.
The couple will exchange nuptial vows during a 6:15 p.m. ceremony that will take place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Youngstown. Invitations will be issued for the wedding and for an evening reception at the Youngstown Country Club.
Miss Garchar completed her undergraduate degree in business administration at Miami University in Oxford and received her master's in business administration-finance from the University of Chicago. She became a certified public accountant in the state of Illinois and is assistant vice president at Kaufman-Hall, a health-care financial advisory firm in Chicago.
Dr. Guelich graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Northwestern University and a fellowship in sports medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He will be entering private practice in orthopedic surgery in Chicago.
