XYOUNGSTOWN -- Lydia DeJesus and Malik Mostella were married at 5 p.m. June 30 at St. Patrick Church by the Rev. Edward Noga and honored afterward during a reception at Willow Creek, Girard.
The couple honeymooned at Riviera Maya, Mexico, and live in Youngstown.
The bride, a daughter of Eulalia DeJesus of Youngstown and the late Hermenegildo DeJesus, is an educational assistant in the orthopedic department at The Rayen School.
The groom is a son of the late Ernest N. Mostella. He earned a peace officer certificate from Youngstown State University Police Academy and is member of the Youngstown Police Department Street Crimes Unit.
The bride's strapless white satin gown was enhanced with red embroidery and crystals and featured an A-line skirt and a train.
Apple red gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Madalena Bonillo and Bianca Diaz, and the bridesmaids, Shawntessa DeJesus, Marisol Palma, Lali Gonzalez and Brittany Hines. Flower girl was Eliana DeJesus, and miniature bride was Ariana Simms-DeJesus. Also participating were Siera DeJesus, Yvette Gonzalez, Brianne Dawson-Jones and Talia Hullum.
Best men were Darren Perdue and Demetrius Woods, and groomsmen were Randy Stevens, Marcus Baldwin, Bernard Thomas and John Fields. Junior groom was Nicholas Mostella, and ushers were Lucas Diaz, Brandon Mostella, Michael Rosa and William Rosa Jr.
