Hillside rehab team run set for Aug. 19



HOWLAND -- The 3rd annual Forum Health Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital 5K Team Challenge will be Aug.19.
The 5K and 1-mile run or walk is a fund-raising activity to benefit the Adapted Sports Program for the physically challenged. The course begins at Hillside, 8747 Squires Lane N.E., and winds around the hospital and through the nearby residential area.
Registration begins at 8 a.m., followed by a formal opening ceremony at 9 a.m. The actual race begins at 9:15 a.m. To participate, a team of three or more people must be formed. People of any age or ability can participate.
Prizes will be awarded for teams that are the largest, fastest, raise the most money, wear the most creative attire and exhibit the most spirit.
Participants receive a free T-shirt. Food, refreshments and other activities such as health screenings, miniature golf, a putting/driving range, and kids' activities will be available.
Teams are encouraged to pre-register by Aug.14. Cost is $200 per team; teams of more than five pay $30 per person for each additional member.
