Bond set at $1M in murder case



ANDOVER -- A Hubbard man is being held in Ashtabula County jail in lieu of $1 million bond after being charged in the death of a Masury man in Pymatuning State Park.
Rusty W. Pratt, 22, no address given, is charged with aggravated murder in the death of Brian J. Tamp, 34, of Masury.
Pratt was arraigned Thursday in Ashtabula Eastern County Court where his bond was set at $1 million.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, state troopers, county deputy sheriffs and Andover police responded to a report of an injured person near the Old Legion area in the park at about 2:26 a.m. Officers found Tamp, who was pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner's office.
The patrol said Tamp's death was the result of a fight.
Officers interviewed two witnesses to the fight then began searching for Pratt. He was found walking along state Route 193 in Wayne Township.
