GIRARD
July 24
Theft: A woman in the 700 block of St. Clair Avenue reported the theft of her daughter's cellular phone.
Theft: An employee at a dentist's office on East Main Street told police a 30-year-old patient left with a crown that was to be inserted into one of his teeth.
Theft: A West Liberty Street woman reported her purse stolen while at Santisi's IGA Super Center, 419 N. State St. The purse was found, but a credit card and bank book were missing.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into Kuzman's Bar & amp; Lounge, 1025 S. State St., disabled the alarm and took about $600.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 27-year-old Forsythe Avenue man at his home on a domestic-violence charge after his wife called 911 to report her husband kicked and pushed her during an argument.
Assault: A West Liberty Street man was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, after suffering head injuries. The victim's girlfriend reported four people assaulted him.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into two concession stands in a stadium at Girard High School, 31 Ward Ave., by removing an exhaust fan from one of the stands.
Criminal damaging: Two tires on a vehicle were slashed in the 400 block of St. Clair Avenue.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 200 block of East Broadway Avenue discovered a tire on his vehicle was slashed.
July 25
Criminal damaging: Someone spray-painted a truck belonging to Kitchen & amp; Bath Cabinets Inc., 115 W. Broadway Ave.
Criminal damaging: The owner of a vacant home in the 400 block of Church Hill Road found out five windows had been broken, resulting in $1,000 worth of damage.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 700 block of North Ward Avenue discovered a broken garage window.
July 26
Misuse of a credit card: A Tampa, Fla., man found out someone used his credit-card number at Mikee's, 30 N. State St., without his consent.
Criminal mischief: An employee at Tom's Septic Sewer Service, 215 High St., reported a key was used to damage the finish on two company-owned trucks.
July 27
Criminal mischief: A woman noticed damage to aluminum siding on her home in the 800 block of North Highland Avenue.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into Rite Aid Pharmacy, 713 N. State St., through a rear door. Nothing appeared to be missing.
LIBERTY
July 20
Assault: A Girard woman told officers four people in ski masks approached her vehicle near state Route 193 and Tibbetts-Wick Road before assaulting her. The woman had bruises and swelling on her face.
Auto theft: A Klines Drive man reported the theft of his 1988 Chevrolet Cavalier.
Criminal damaging: A woman reported a broken kitchen window to her apartment in the 200 block of Colonial Drive. Estimated damage was $150.
Criminal damaging: An Edinburg, Pa., man reported that his vehicle's passenger- and driver's-side mirrors were smashed and that a windshield wiper was damaged while he was at Shaker's Bar & amp; Grill, 4520 Belmont Ave.
July 21
Identity theft: A Sampson Drive woman noticed someone opened a credit-card account using her identity and made $667.35 worth of fraudulent purchases.
Arrest: Liberty police and the Mahoning County Violent Crimes Task Force took a 23-year-old Green Acres Drive man into custody at his home on two counts each of felonious assault and simple assault.
Arrest: After stopping a car near state Route 11 and Interstate 80, officers arrested a Warren man, 25, on charges of having a fictitious license plate, receiving stolen property (temporary tag), driving under suspension and fleeing and eluding police. The man pulled over then fled in his vehicle, nearly striking an ambulance, police said.
Assault: While trying to serve a felony warrant on a Youngstown man in the 4200 block of Logan Gate Road, police say the man slammed an officer against an apartment wall. Police charged the 43-year-old man with assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.
Theft: A Trumbull Court man reported the theft of $67 worth of coins from his home.
Aggravated menacing: A Scott Lane woman told police that a man nearly struck her dog with his vehicle and that the man's wife threatened to kill her after the victim yelled for him to slow down.
Assault: Three people reported a Youngstown man, 23, knocked them to the ground in the 4200 block of Logan Gate Road before pointing a handgun at them, firing a shot in the air and fleeing.
July 22
Burglary: A man reported a break-in to his apartment in the 1300 block of West Montrose Street. Seven collectible coins were taken, for a loss of $1,000.
Burglary: A man told police a Youngstown woman tried to break into his Mount Everett Road residence.
Theft: A Warner Road woman reported a Hubbard man stole from her 5 gallons of gasoline.
Theft: Someone took an undisclosed amount of money from the front desk at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex, 1620 Motor Inn Drive.
July 23
Attempted burglary: A woman in the 3700 block of Oakwood Drive called police after discovering part of a double-pane window had been broken before someone tried to pry open the window.
Assault/criminal damaging: A Girard woman alleged a Scott Lane man pushed her while she was at his home. He also tossed a soda and damaged her cellular phone, she told police.
July 24
Breaking and entering: Someone used a welding torch to remove a chain lock and break into RAAW Inc., 5000 W. Liberty St. A dump truck, a trailer and two other items were stolen.
Criminal damaging: A Warren woman reported someone damaged her vehicle, apparently with a BB or pellet gun, while she was in the 900 block of Royal Arms Drive.
Theft: A Tuttle Drive man discovered that checks missing from his home, and that two were cashed for a total of $400.
Recovered property: Police found a 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that had been stolen in Akron in a field near Naylor-Lloyd Road.
