Southside Lions Club holds installation



YOUNGSTOWN -- The installation of officers was conducted by Youngstown Southside Lions Club during a picnic meeting held July 16 at the residence of Robert O'Leary.
Members, their spouses and special guests were present as Paul Metrovich of Calcutta Lions Club, past district governor, installed Bill Cooper as president of the organization.
Cooper, a sales representative with Snyder Bentley Industrial Supplies, lives in Austintown with his wife, Donna.
Also inducted at the event were Bob O'Leary, vice president; Ron Clifton, secretary; Dr. John Beale, treasurer; Pete Noll, tail twister/lion tamer, Bob Whited, membership chairman, and Ralph Fagert and Ron Fagert, directors.
Southside Lions Club was chartered in May 1951. Members provide service to the blind and visually impaired and are actively involved in community affairs. Anyone interested in becoming a member should contact Whited at (330) 792-7907.
