XThe engagement of Mandy Callahan and Eric Pichiotino, both of 5984 Weston Woods Drive, Galloway, is being announced by their parents, Dottie Callahan of Canfield and Fred and Barbara Pichiotino, also of Canfield and formerly of Boardman.
The bride-elect, also a daughter of the late Dennis Callahan, graduated magna cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. She is pursuing a master's degree in mental-health counseling at Wright State University in Dayton.
The prospective groom is a physical therapist with Progressive Step Rehabilitation in West Jefferson. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in exercise science from YSU, where he also earned a master's in physical therapy.
The couple will be married in an open ceremony they have planned for 2:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Their invitation-only reception will be held that evening at The Embassy in Youngstown.
