Mr. and Mrs. James Kissel observe golden wedding anniversary at dinner

XCOLUMBIANA -- Mr. and Mrs. James Kissel of Columbiana celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 7 at a dinner at Das Dutch Inn.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children and their spouses, Ronald and Denise Kissel of New Jersey; Cdr. Roger and Leigh Kissel of Virginia; Richard and Kathy Kissel of Columbiana; and their daughter-in-law, Darlene Kissel of Columbiana. Their son, Rodney Kissel, is deceased. Six grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. Kissel and the former Marla Sitler were married June 30, 1956, at Good Hope Lutheran Church in North Lima. His served in the U.S. Army in 1953 to 1954, spending 14 months in Korea. He worked for Dart Trucking for 33 years.
His wife is a licensed practical nurse and worked at South Side and North Side hospitals.
The couple are members of First Presbyterian Church, where Mr. Kissel is a Sunday school teacher and elder and Mrs. Kissel is an elder, Sunday school secretary, and member of the choir, women's association and Miriam Circle.
