XLIBERTY-- Joseph Saad Thomas and his bride, Megan Elizabeth Marin, honeymooned on the Hawaiian island of Maui after their June 24 wedding at St. Mark Orthodox Church.
The Rev. Daniel Rohan officiated at the 3:30 p.m. ceremony, and a reception was held at the Grand Pavilion of Avalon Lakes Golf Course, Howland.
Parents of the bride are Sandra L. Marin of Canfield and David and Deborah Marin of Grove City, Pa. The groom's parents are Thomas and Cristine Cavalier of Canfield and Michael Thomas of Austintown.
The bride's strapless silk shantung gown was worn with a bolero jacket accented with lace and crystals.
Platinum and charcoal gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Natalie Raco and Emily and Deborah Marin, and the bridesmaids, Morgan Bennett, Nicole Kachmar, Amy Duncan, Rachel Sherba, Shirley Thomas, Christina Cavalier and Kristin Vonnes.
Christopher and Michael Thomas were best men, and groomsmen were Adam Azar, Mark Marin, Jeffrey Raupple, Joseph Mazias, Joseph Ferri, Mark Lenyk, Brian Cavalier, Ryan Ogrodnik and David Gestosani. Ring bearer was Christopher Thomas. Ushers were Lisa Petitti and Annie Linderson.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree at Ohio University in Athens and a master's at Ashland University. She is an eighth-grade special-education teacher with Jefferson Local Schools in Columbus. The groom, a graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor's degree, is in franchise sales with Real Living in Columbus.
