XBOARDMAN -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place June 17 during a 1:30 p.m. ceremony as Kari Coates and Paul DeLucia were united in marriage by the Rev. Matthew Mankowski at St. Charles Church.
A reception was held afterward at the Holiday Inn to honor the daughter of William and Gerry Coates, 456 Greenmont Drive, Canfield, and the son of Angelo and Tina DeLucia, 7146 Vineland Place.
The couple are living at 640 Westfield Drive after returning from a wedding trip to Aruba.
The bride's strapless white ballgown was enhanced with a sash and crystal brooch at the waistline.
Pink sashes accented the black gowns worn by the honor attendant, Jennifer Ickert of Newberry, Fla., and the bridesmaids, Kelly and Kristen Coates of Columbus, the bride's sisters; Beth DeLucia of Canfield, the groom's sister-in-law; Marcie McClintic of Alexandria, Va.; and Kim Vodhanel of Boardman.
Serving as best man was the groom's brother, Steve DeLucia of Canfield, and groomsmen were Carmen DeLucia of Boardman, also his brother; Ryan Galvin of Chicago; Adam Kotarski of Las Vegas; Brad Marzano of Wadsworth; Chad Vodhanel of Boardman; and the bride's brother, Billy Coates of Alexandria.
The bride graduated from West Virginia University at Morgantown, W.Va., with a degree in accounting, and is pursuing a degree in secondary education at Mount Union College, Alliance.
The groom is a carpenter with DeLucia Construction in Canfield.
