Bobovnyk 50th is celebrated at dinner party

XMINERAL RIDGE -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bobovnyk Sr., 1861 Clover Brook Drive, was celebrated during a dinner party given by their family on July 9 at Ciminero's in Niles.
Hosts for the event were Fred Bobovnyk Jr. of Houston, Anthony Bobovnyk of Mineral Ridge, Kathleen Granger of Southington and Stephanie Bobovnyk of Cortland, and the couple's two grandchildren.
St. Anthony Church in Youngstown was the setting July 7, 1956, as Mr. Bobovnyk and the former Philomena Donnarummo were united in marriage. They are members of St. Mary Church.
Mrs. Bobovnyk, a homemaker, is a member of the women's guild at the church. She retired in 1956 from Loblaw's, where she was employed as a cashier.
Mr. Bobovnyk was employed 38 years with Sohio/BP Oil Co. prior to retiring in 1996. He serves as a trustee for Weathersfield Township.
