Top hot new skirts with cool shirt or blouse

Just when we think the girly-girl look with its lace and bows may be on the wane, it surfaces again in a different, equally feminine form.
Consider the billowing tiered skirt. It's the summer season's hit in all prices and materials.
Find it in brilliant colors and a variety of prints. Fashioned from soft cotton or polyester, it's available in a wide range of prices, from Rebecca Taylor's red whimsical table cloth pattern in the three-figure range to Willi Smith's fluffy black-and-white pompom skirt for little more than a couple of pizzas.
Simmer it down with a simple white cotton shirt or jazz it up with a ruffled peasant blouse. For evening, add a halter top. It cries out for sandals or flip-flops.
Make sure it is a good fit and doesn't overpower you. Practice walking with a swing. And unless your office is low-key, don't wear it to work.
