After vandalism, Living Word moves its offices, services

GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Living Word Christian Center, 21 S. Maysville Road, which was damaged in a break-in and vandalism July 17, is relocating its ministry offices, counseling services and worship services to The Farm, 556 Conneaut Lake Road.
The Farm is a multipurpose community facility operated by John and Marguerie Scullin.
The cleanup and restoration made the move necessary. The center is still getting estimates on the cost of the cleanup.
The Sunday service will be at 10 a.m. Prayer meetings, counseling appointments and ministry meetings will be held at previously scheduled times at the new location. Center activities will not interfere with scheduled events at The Farm.
Jim Chapin is senior pastor at the center, which has about 225 members. His wife, Jan Chapin, is school administrator and also a pastor.
Ministry offices will be located at Erin's Acre until July 30 then moved to Patrick's Porch facility, both are at The Farm.
Living Word Christian School, which has about 60 students, will open Aug. 28 as planned. Entrance exams originally set for Monday and Tuesday will be rescheduled. Parents, guardians and pupils will be notified of any changes for the upcoming school year, church school officials said.
Calls also are being rerouted to the new site. Messages also may be left at (724) 588-2140.
