CANFIELD
July 9
Theft: A laptop computer, a plastic clear protective cover for the computer, $50 in cash, an iPod mini, two cell phones and a digital camera were reported missing from a home in the 60 block of Savannah Court after two 18-year-old women and a 15-year-old boy reported their things stolen. They said there had been a party and there were guests there they did not recognize.
July 10
Theft: About $5 in loose change in a change holder and console, a radar detector, a blue and white jacket, at least one screwdriver and a pair of vice grips were stolen from a vehicle parked at a residence in the 400 block of Carriage Lane.
July 12
Drug abuse: Police charged a a 25-year-old Canfield man with three counts of drug abuse after they found a plastic bag containing pills and suspected marijuana. The arrest was made at the intersection on state Route 46 near Mill Creek MetroParks farm.
July 13
Carrying a concealed weapon, drug instruments: Police charged a 58-year-old Akron man with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug instruments after his arrest on East Main Street near First National Bank. Police found a bag of hypodermic needles and a large butcher knife in a homemade sheath.

Criminal damaging: Vehicle windows were damaged on an auto parked at a home in the 4000 block of Nottingham Avenue.
Criminal simulation: Police arrested a Cleveland man and a Bedford, Ohio, woman on Interstate 80 in the township. They are charged with possession of 1,000 bootleg videos and compact discs
Criminal damaging: A pipe was thrown from a passing vehicle at the victim's car, smashing its windshield at Silica Road.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was smashed at a home in the 3000 block of Lake Road.
Theft: A Vindicator coin box was stolen at Rulli Bros., Kirk Road.

Theft: Cash, CDs, an Ohio license and credit cards were stolen from an auto parked in a driveway in the 40 block of West Liberty Street.
Breaking and entering: A Suzuki four-wheel all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of West Webb Road.

Attempted breaking and entering: A front door was damaged at Golden Food Mart, 4290 New Road.
Theft: Police arrested a man on a theft charge at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A total of $18.39 in gasoline was stolen from Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Auto theft: A 1996 Mazda Protege, blue with a black hood was stolen from the Wal-Mart parking lot.
Burglary: A DVD player and clothing were stolen from the owner's residence at Best Value Inn, 1051 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

July 15
Theft: Patrons walked out without paying for two meals at Eat 'N' Park, 5459 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A camcorder was stolen from an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.
Theft: Two teenagers fled from a vehicle from which a wallet was taken at Sheetz gas station.
Obstructing official business: Police arrested two men for failure to comply to a police order at Bill's Place, 4771 Mahoning Ave.
Auto theft: A 1999 gold, two-door Chevrolet Cavalier was stolen from Westgate Motel, 4493 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Two juveniles were arrested for stealing items at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave. They were released to their parents.
Theft: A check was stolen from a business account at Marino's Restaurant, 5423 Mahoning Ave.
July 16
Theft: A tire was damaged and CDs were taken from a vehicle parked at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.
Drug abuse: Police issued two summons for a Youngstown man on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest was made at Interstate 680 in the township.
Felonious assault: A boy riding a dirt bike with another boy on state Route 46 and Dunlap Avenue was hit when the rear male passenger opened the car door and knocked one of the boys off the bike.
Criminal damaging: Vehicle windows were broken out and scratched at a home in the 50 block of Patterson Court.
Theft: An undetermined amount of meat was stolen from Save-A-Lot, 1715 S. Raccoon Road.
