Astro Falcons still alive in tourney



They outslugged Rondinelli, 16-8, and Ohio Eagles, 11-2.
STRUTHERS -- The Astro Falcons outslugged Rondinelli, 16-8, to remain alive in the 44th annual State Connie Mack Baseball Tournament at Cene Park Monday.
Cameron Konop had three hits and three RBIs for Astro, while Jared Bartholomew, Drew Turocy, Kyle Smith, Dave Dejacimo, Kolten Hoffman and Ryan Morris had two hits each. Dejacimo got the win in relief.
Matt Katich and Tyrone Wright had two hits each for Rondinelli.
Wharmby Sports 9,Greenville Technology 2
Tom Popadak struck out 12 as he tossed a complete game for Wharmby Sports.
Garen Ream had two hits for Wharmby and John Thomas drove home two runs in a six-run third.
Mark Schdeck hit a two-run homer for Greenville and also had a single. Tom Norris, Jordan Kohler, and Sean Simon also had two hits.
R & amp;J Trucking 12,Wharmby Sports 1
R & amp;J sent 15 men to the plate and scored nine times in the fourth inning.
Ben Miller went 4-for-4 while Josh Fyffe, and Steve McNeely had two hits each for R & amp;J. Joe Fox went three innings for the win.
Astro Falcons 11, Ohio Eagles 2
Drew Turocy hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning to give the Astro Falcons the lead.
Turocy finished with two hits and four RBIs, while Jared Bartholomew had a pair of doubles. Kyle Smith and Dave Dejacimo each had a single and a double.
Corey Susany pitched a complete game with three strikeouts.
Alan Krontz had two hits for the Eagles.
Rondinelli Tuxedo 7,Mink Financial 3
Rondinelli scored four times in the bottom of the sixth inning to knock out Mink.
Phil Double, Matt Dado, Matt Katich, Frank Rosile and Jeff Olenych had two hits each for Rondinelli. Olenych got the win, tossing 22/3 of hitless relief.
Frank Larubbio had a single and a double for Mink.
Andy's 9ers 8, Ohio Trojans 0
Adam Gray tossed a six-inning no hitter for Andy's 9ers.
Gray had 12 ground ball outs and struck out four with one walk.
