Ohio Edison restores power for 4,825 customers

YOUNGSTOWN -- Power was restored by 7 p.m. Sunday to all customers affected by a power outage that had struck about 5 p.m.
It affected 4,825 customers in the Cornersburg section of Youngstown and the east side of Austintown.
Paul Harkey, area manager for Ohio Edison, said there was a problem at a substation on Canfield Road. Harkey wasn't sure what caused the outage but speculated that it could have been related to high energy demand.
Power was restored to 3,541 customers at 5:41 p.m. and the remaining customers at 7 p.m.
