Man is found shot in his front yard

YOUNGSTOWN -- Police found a 51-year-old resident of the 1600 block of Wick Avenue lying in his front yard after being shot after a confrontation with four men at 3:48 p.m. Sunday.
The victim, Donald Connelly, said a blue 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass pulled up in front of his house while he was in the front yard and one of the occupants asked for a light, police said.
As Connelly approached the car, he saw black, small caliber rifles and turned and started to run toward his house. He was fired upon and struck twice in the upper left and right buttocks and left hip.
He was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center, where he was in stable condition.
