Vitullos honored in Las Vegas for 50th anniversary

XYOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Angelo Vitullo, 2127 Chaney Circle, were honored June 16 in Las Vegas at a dinner at the Memphis Cafe and a tropical-themed reception at the Riviera Hotel in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts were the couple's children and son-in-law, Kathleen and John Novotny of Phoenix, Karen Vitullo of Las Vegas and Anthony Vitullo of Las Vegas.
The couple were also honored at a surprise party hosted by Mr. Vitullo's cousins, Jack and Linda Gabrieli, at their home in Boardman.
Mr. Vitullo and the former Anna Mae Lopuchovsky were married June 16, 1956, at St. Bernadette Church in Masury. He served in the 24th Infantry in Korea from 1952-53 and then was a firefighter in Youngstown until retiring with the rank of captain.
His wife assisted their daughter, Karen, at her flower shop, Vitullo Florist in Youngstown, for 20 years.
The Vitullos belong to St. Brendan Church.
