Julians will mark 50th at event in mid-August

XYOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Julian of 2602 McCollum Road, will be honored Aug. 19 at a celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary to be held at the Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens, Mill Creek Park.
Invitations will be extended by the couple's children and their spouses, Mark Julian of Uniontown; Andrew and Elaine Julian of Owings, Md.; Lisa and Terry Thomas of Boardman; Suzanne Julian of Youngstown; and Lance and Nicole Julian of North Beach, Md. Thirteen grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. Julian and the former Joan Hill were married July 4, 1956, at Immaculate Conception Church in Durham, N.C.
Mrs. Julian is a floral designer and has worked as a keypunch operator for Republic Steel and as a legal secretary. She is a member of the Youngstown Italian Fest Committee.
Her husband retired in 1996 after 30 years as director of the Youngstown Office of Consumer Affairs and he also served 16 years as a member of the Youngstown City School Board. He is a board member of the Selective Service System Draft Board and a trustee of the Greater Youngstown Italian Heritage Foundation, and is chairman of the Miss Italian Youngstown Pageant.
The couple are members of the Brier Hill Italian Scholarship Foundation.
