Family dinner marks Gittings 50th jubilee

XCANFIELD -- Ray and Joyce Gittings of 4364 Canfield Road were honored July 14 at a family dinner at Ben's Restaurant on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children, Teresa Oyster of Boardman, Kim Brothers of Austintown, and Alan and Jan Gittings of Poland. Five grandchildren complete their family.
First Methodist Church in Galion was the setting July 14, 1956, for the wedding of Mr. Gittings and the former Joyce Corwin. He worked as a supervisor for Isaly Dairy in Youngstown and was owner-operator of Ray's Cafeteria in Youngstown prior to retiring.
His wife is retired from Gorant Candies in Boardman.
The couple belong to Western Reserve United Methodist Church.
