XAUSTINTOWN -- Nuptial vows were exchanged by Amanda Jo Herman and David Joseph Potkonicky during a 2:45 p.m. ceremony June 24 at Wickliffe Christian Church.
The Rev. Andy Wade officiated, and a reception was held at the Regency House.
Parents of the couple are Joseph and Patti Herman, 5125 Norquest Blvd., Patricia Potkonicky, Hazelwood Avenue, Youngstown, and Steve Potkonicky Jr., West Heights Avenue, Youngstown.
The bride's strapless, white satin gown was designed with a beaded bodice and hemline and a satin-tied corseted back. The skirt flowed to a beaded chapel train.
Matron of honor was the bride's cousin, Lorraine Federovitch, who wore an eggplant gown. Lavender gowns were worn by the bridesmaids, Heather Long, Lisa Hutch and Kristen Drabison. Flower girl in white was KyLeigh Frohman.
Kevin Dennis served as best man, and groomsmen were Joe Herman, the bride's brother; Dan Bieltz; and Mark Templeton. Nathan Strojny, the groom's nephew, was ring bearer, and ushers were Fernando DeChellis and the groom's brother-in-law, Rob Strojny.
The bride is a student at Youngstown State University, where she is pursuing a degree in exercise science. She is an intern at Andrews Recreation Center at YSU and is a photo clerk at Walgreens in Boardman.
Mr. Potkonicky graduated from the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center and is a deputy sheriff in Stark County.
