XAUSTINTOWN -- The marriage of Karen Daff, daughter of Harry and Beverly Daff of Austintown, and David Conkey, son of Lewis and Judith Conkey of Columbus, took place June 17 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
The Rev. Stephen E. Popovich officiated for the 1 p.m. ceremony.
Before leaving on a wedding trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the couple were honored during a reception at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre in Liberty.
Pearls, sequins, crystals and gold stitching embellished the bride's white satin gown, which was fashioned with a V-neckline and chapel train.
Michelle Neal of Austintown served as matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Donna Barko of Austintown, sister of the bride; Julie Daff of Aurora, her sister-in-law; and Barb Beachler of Austintown. They wore coral-colored gowns.
Rick Gladman of Columbus served as best man, and groomsmen were Jeff Johnson of St. Petersburg, Fla., the groom's cousin; Richard Daff of Aurora, the bride's brother; and Joe Barko of Austintown, her brother-in-law.
The bride, a graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in special education and a master's in educational administration, is a special-education interventionist at Champion Middle School.
The groom is a service technician with Petro Com in Cleveland.
The couple live in Austintown.
