International artist to do benefit concert at St. Charles Church

BOARDMAN -- Angel Gutierrez, an international recording and performing artist, will present a benefit concert of multicultural Christian music at 7 p.m. July 21 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 7345 Westview Drive.
Gutierrez will be accompanied by the Rev. Rafael Fuentes, who performs Latino and Christian music, and the St. Charles youth and adult choirs.
Gutierrez and Father Fuentes are from El Salvador, Central America. Over the last four years, St. Charles has established a "sister parish relationship" with Inmaculada Concepcion, a parish in rural El Salvador where Father Fuentes is the pastor. There are six village churches in the parish there. Funds are needed to make roof and structural repairs and for other needs.
The cost is $10 a ticket; guests who buy two tickets may take their children for free. Seating is limited. Call the church at (330) 758-2325 for tickets.
Gutierrez's CDs will be on sale and proceeds will benefit the Father Rafael Student Sponsorship Program in El Salvador.
After the concert, there will be gathering in the social hall.
