Fitch's Wallace ready to play at Ohio Valley

He averaged 23 points and 10 rebounds last year for the Falcons.
AUSTINTOWN -- James Wallace, a Fitch High graduate, earned a full scholarship at Ohio Valley University in West Virginia where he'll continue his basketball career.
He chose OVU, a Division II school, because fourth-year coach Bill McGee is rebuilding and will give him a chance at playing at the varsity level right away, he said.
"I passed up going to Division III schools because of Ohio Valley's Christian background and smaller classrooms and I like their coaches," said Wallace, who plans to major in sports management. "Coach McGee is a Christian. He is a down-to-earth person and easy to talk to."
A three-year letterman at forward for the Falcons, Wallace (6-5) averaged 23.2 points and 10.3 rebounds last season for Fitch.
He scored 36 points, the second-highest total in school history, against East Liverpool and scored more than 30 points on four other occasions last season.
