LOWELLVILLE -- The Rev. Fred Baer officiated at 2 p.m. June 17 at Victory Christian Center when April Dawn Anderson became the bride of James Carl Wevers.
The bride is a daughter of Chip and Sue Anderson of 69 Hill Drive, Poland.
The groom is a son of Jim and Robin Wevers of 812 Oregon Ave., McDonald.
After a reception at the Regency House in Austintown, the newlyweds honeymooned at Riviera Maya in Cancun, Mexico.
They reside at 919 Ohio Ave., McDonald.
Attired in a white, strapless gown with intricate beading along the bottom, the bride was attended by her sister, Misty Anderson of Austintown, and Kari Beight of Poland as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were the groom's sister, Rena Wevers, McDonald, and the bride's cousins, Tammie Nolder of Poland and Wendy Rieckman of Struthers. They wore ballerina-pink dresses.
Eric Wojtowicz of McDonald served as best man. Groomsmen were Eric Vega and Curtis Brawdy, both of Niles, and Jeff Vrabel and John Jasinski, both of Poland.
Ushers were the groom's cousins, Bobby and Joey Nogee of Pulaski, Pa., and the bride's uncles, Brian and Jim Dunn of Boardman.
The couple are both graduates of Youngstown State University. The bride has a degree in early-childhood education and is a full-time substitute teacher for Struthers City Schools. Her husband is a respiratory therapist at St. Elizabeth Health Center and Forum Health Northside Medical Center in Youngstown.
