GIRARD
July 12
Drugs: Police arrested a 13-year-old Austintown boy in the 100 block of North Market Street on a charge of drug abuse, saying he had a bag of suspected marijuana in his pocket.
Theft: A Park Avenue woman found out someone entered her car and took a compact-disc player/stereo while she was at Lamancusa Tavern, 15 S. Davis St.
Assault: A 22-year-old Canfield woman sought medical attention after alleging her former boyfriend and a 17-year-old Girard boy assaulted her. The victim told authorities the teen kicked, punched and slapped her at a home in the 700 block of North Street.
July 13
Burglary: A Joan Avenue woman alleged her daughter, 21, broke into her residence and took $60.
Theft: Police arrested an 11-year-old Girard girl on a theft charge after a pack of gum was stolen from McQuaid's Service Center, 307 S. State St.
Theft: A Warren man, 18, was apprehended in the 1000 block of North State Street and charged with theft and complicity to theft after the owner of a vehicle discovered the faceplate to his CD player had been pried off.
July 14
Theft: A woman in the 100 block of North Avenue discovered her vehicle had been entered and that 100 CDs were stolen and a CD player was removed from the dashboard and left in the car.
LIBERTY
July 6
Theft/criminal damaging: A Jefferson Court man discovered damage to his vehicle's door handle, and that a car stereo and 10 CDs had been taken.
Theft/criminal damaging: A man in the 4000 block of Monticello Drive reported someone broke into his car and removed an AM-FM-CD player, two 15-inch speakers and two amplifiers, for a loss of $1,700.
July 7
Arrest: Officers took custody of a 31-year-old Youngstown woman at the Mahoning County jail. She was wanted on six felony counts of forgery.
Arrest: Struthers police turned over to Liberty authorities a Youngstown woman, 18, wanted on a warrant from Liberty accusing her of passing bad checks.
Drugs: While conducting a traffic stop on state Route 193, officers cited a Youngstown man, 27, on a charge of drug possession after saying they found suspected marijuana in the vehicle. He also was charged with having no front license plate and driving under suspension.
Possible vehicle theft: A woman in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive told police that someone staying with her failed to return the victim's van.
July 8
Theft/recovered property: A $100 bicycle was found after an Aurora Drive man reported it stolen.
Assault: As police responded to a dispute in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive, a woman reported a man tossed a phone at another woman; another female told officers a man spit on her daughter.
Assault: An employee at Belmont Pines Hospital, 615 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, reported a 13-year-old female patient struck her on the right side of her head.
Burglary: A man found out someone broke a front window and entered his home in the 400 block of Mansell Drive and removed a 27-inch flat-screen TV, a gun, a home-theater system and 60 CDs, for a loss of $2,225.
Theft: A woman in the 400 block of Colonial Drive said her automated-teller-machine card was missing from her purse, and that three unauthorized withdrawals totaling $440 were made from her bank account.
Breaking and entering: A woman in the 4200 block of Logan Gate Road discovered a storage unit at her apartment had been entered. A nailgun, a computer and monitor, two cordless drills and a toolbox with various tools were stolen; the theft came to $1,640.
July 9
Robbery: A woman told police a Youngstown woman, age 20 to 25, came to the victim's Northview Drive residence to collect a debt, and that the woman shoved and struck the victim before stealing two lamps, a TV and a speaker.
Arrest: After conducting a vehicle registration check and determining the car had been stolen in Youngstown, officers arrested a 20-year-old Youngstown man in the 3000 block of Belmont Avenue. He was charged with receiving stolen property and three counts of driving under suspension.
July 12
Criminal damaging: A Youngstown man reported someone climbed onto his truck and broke a rear sliding window while he was near Forum Health Northside Medical Center, 500 Gypsy Lane.
