Track: New Hampshire International Speedway (oval, 1.058 miles, 12 degrees banking in turns).
Race distance: 317.4 miles, 300 laps.
Last year: Tony Stewart won for the third time in four races by taking the New England 300.
NASCAR BUSCH
New England 200
Site: Loudon, N.H.
Schedule: Saturday, qualifying (Speed Channel, 11 a.m.), race (TNT, 3 p.m.).
Track: New Hampshire International Speedway (oval, 1.058 miles, 12 degrees banking in turns).
Race distance: 211.6 miles, 200 laps.
Last year: Points leader Martin Truex Jr. held off Carl Edwards on the final lap and won the New England 200 for his fifth victory of 2005. Truex led only the last 13 laps.
NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCKS
O'Reilly 200
Site: Memphis, Tenn.
Schedule: Saturday, qualifying, 6 p.m., race (Speed Channel, 9 p.m.).
Track: Memphis Motorsports Park, (tri-oval, 0.75 miles, 11-degrees banking in turns).
Race distance: 150 miles, 200 laps.
Last year: Brandon Whitt earned his first truck victory, passing a slowed Ron Hornaday on the final turn of the last lap at Memphis Motorsports Park. Hornaday had to brake for smoke laid down by Jimmy Spencer's Turn 4 spin.
FORMULA ONE
French Grand Prix
Site: Magny Cours
Schedule: Saturday, qualifying (Speed Channel, 8 a.m.); Sunday, race (Speed Channel, 7:30 a.m.).
Track: Magny-Cours (road course, 17 turns, 2.641 miles).
Race distance: 184.87 miles, 70 laps.
Last year: Alonso won for the fifth time in 10 races by taking the French Grand Prix. Fernando Alonso didn't compete in the previous race as he was one of 14 drivers who boycotted the U.S. Grand Prix over concerns about tire safety by Michelin.
INDY RACING LEAGUEFirestone Indy 200
Site: Gladeville, Tenn.Schedule: Today, qualifying, 5 p.m.; Saturday, race (ESPN, 9 p.m.).
Track: Nashville Superspeedway (tri-oval, 1.33 miles, 14 degrees banking in turns).
Race distance: 266 miles, 200 laps.
Last year: Dario Franchitti dipped inside Patrick Carpentier with seven laps to go and won the Firestone Indy 200.
