Scrappers, Spinners rained out

LOWELL, Mass. -- The Mahoning Valley Scrappers Class A baseball team has danced around Mother Nature and her rain on four occasions this season, but Wednesday night she finally took her toll.
Wednesday's New York-Penn League game between the Scrappers and Lowell Spinners was washed out by rain.
The two teams will play a doubleheader today beginning at 6 p.m. Both games will be 7 innings.
Mahoning Valley is 12-9 and a half-game behind Pinckney Division leader Batavia, while the Spinners are 10-10 in the Stedler Division.
