Rondinelli won the Youngstown championship by sweeping the Astro Falcons in two games in the best-of-three series. First, Rondinelli won 8-7 in 10 innings. Bo Slemmons allowed only one run in the last seven innings for Rondinelli while Drew Fitzpatrick, A.J. Zorella, Anthony Franceschelli and Jason Bagoly had two hits each. Rondinelli won Game 2, 9-0, as Shawn Roman pitched a shutout. Rondinelli, managed by Al Franceschelli, was 19-5 during the regular season and posted the best record in the league. Tom Slagle and Gallagher had two hits each to lead Line Drive offensively. The Astro Falcons won Game 2, 10-5, with Jimmy Behnke earning the victory while Sean Murphy had three doubles. The Falcons won the finale, 7-1, with Josh Saverko and Sutton Whiting combining to limit Line Drive to one run. Murphy led the Falcons offense with four hits and three RBIs.
